WHOO!

We are sitting outside by the chapel, after a delicious lunch on campus enjoying the nice weather and scenery.

I spent an awesome weekend in Virginia with KB. We enjoyed a night at a hotel just reading gossip magazines and catching up, then Saturday we enjoyed a long lunch at Olive Garden. Super fun! After a lazy afternoon in the hotel room and a tour of the Navy base, we went to a restaurant on the beach to enjoy some cold beers. We ended the night with some of KB's Navy buds, and the next thing I knew, I was driving back home! The road from VA to NC is absolutely beautiful, but unlike any drive in Texas. One lane roads lined with trees, itty bitty towns that are gone in a blink and zero cell phone service for almost two hours and THEN you finally hit a highway. Sunday night I spent drafting my second fantasy football team. Then it was back to the daily grind on Monday. (No holiday for us Dukies, we had a full day of class)

Nitya and I pulled our first late night study session last night. Although we both know better, we waited until Monday night to do our Project Management assignment (which was in Microsoft Project...a program neither of us had ever used before), over 100 pages of reading, and 2 quizzes. Needless to say, we have enjoyed at least one cup of coffee each so far today :)

Here are some pictures of what we've been up to since we got here!!!

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog!

Nitya and I are both living in Durham, NC, attending Duke for our Masters in Engineering Management. We met on Facebook, signed a lease, and then moved into our new apartment, sight unseen. Nitya flew across the world, spending 20 hours in airplanes and airports, while I drove here in two days with my trusty side kick Zeke (my cat) in the back seat and Ryan along for the ride. So far it's been really awesome getting to know the people here at Duke, settling in, and starting with our classes.

As great as this new chapter of our lives is, we are both far from home. It's hard to keep in touch with all of our closest friends and family members, so we decided to start a blog! It will include pictures, recipes, and just general chit chat.

Enjoy!!!

Love,
Beth
